The first look at Age of Empires 4 gameplay was unveiled by Microsoft during the Xbox X019 event held in London last year with a gameplay trailer.
The genre has almost dried out of quality titles and AoE 4 seems to be one of the best bets that may help revive it. Why? Because there has been a dearth of RTS games in recent years. When Age of Empires 4 launches, it is likely to be big. Now, with all three remastered versions having been launched, Microsoft is looking to continue the Age of Empires franchise with Age of Empires 4.
It marked the completion of the Definitive Edition trilogy of Age of Empires games which consists of all the Definitive Editions of all the three main Age of Empires titles. Microsoft launched the Definitive Edition of classic real time strategy (RTS) game Age of Empires 3 (AoE3) on October 15 this year.
